Aisha Hinds

Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actor who is most well recognized for her performances on the TV series 'The Shield' and 'True Blood'. Ever since her debut in 2003, she has shown her versatility in the role of an actress, delivering remarkable performances in TV series such as '9-1-1', 1-8-7' and 'Under the Dome'. In 2005, she received attention in the first place for her role as Anna in 'Assault On Precinct 13". It was however her performance as women's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer from the biographical film "All the Way" that ultimately earned her the recognition she deserves as an actress. Hind's role as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's"Underground," an historical drama, was also extremely praised.
