Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond locks and a lively personality, explains how to prepare restaurant-style meals in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell studied and worked at the top New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up living in New York State's Upstate, discovered a love of cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went after earning an English diploma and Communications certificate in Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced my most memorable time in my life. I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell lived in Italy for one year attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) located in Tuscany. In Italy she gained an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food and culture. It has had a profound impact on how Burrell cooks. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of struggling children. Additionally, she is an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate in which she has a mission to raise awareness for young diabetics. She talks about her culinary love and imparts her knowledge of the culinary world, as she regularly travels throughout the US in the roles of speaker and mentor. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she often says that she feels so lucky to be able to share my passion in life with others.
